What is EditAI?
EditAI is an AI video editor for iPhone. Film or import your clips and it makes the first edit for you: it cuts the pauses, retakes and filler words, adds captions and a hook, and gets the video ready to post. Then change anything by hand, or on Pro, just ask.
When can I get it?
EditAI is coming soon to the App Store for iPhone. Follow @editaiapp to hear the moment it’s out.
Which iPhones does it work on?
EditAI runs on iPhone with iOS 26 or later. A few extras, like writing scripts with Apple Intelligence, only work on iPhones that support them.
Are my videos uploaded to edit them?
No. The editing happens on your iPhone. A video only leaves your phone when you use an online feature, like posting or scheduling it to TikTok. Then it’s uploaded just so it can be delivered, and deleted automatically afterwards. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Does it work offline?
Most of it does: importing, editing, captions and exporting all work without a connection. You need internet for online features like posting to TikTok, chat edits, Edit like this links and product search.
Which languages does it support?
Transcription and captions work in English and Spanish, and the app itself is available in English and Español.
What’s the TikTok Shop violation check?
Before you post, it reads what you say, the text on screen, your captions, hook and post caption, and flags anything that could break TikTok Shop’s rules, like health claims, with a safer way to say it. It runs on your iPhone. It’s a helper, not a guarantee: TikTok always has the final say.
Can I use music and trending sounds?
Auto music (Pro) uses tracks you add yourself, like your own instrumentals or music you have the rights to. For trending TikTok sounds, add them in TikTok when you post. EditAI keeps your voice clean so they layer on nicely.
Do I need an account?
Only for features that go online, like posting and scheduling to TikTok or chat edits. EditAI uses your VidLabs account, so if you already have one, sign in with the same email and password.
How do I delete my data?
Your projects live on your iPhone, so deleting them (or the app) removes them. To delete your account and what’s stored on our servers, go to You → Account → Delete account in the app. See Your data for everything you can download or delete.
